3Mâ„¢ FireDamâ„¢ Coating 2000 is an intumescent fire-protective coating that expands up to 15 times in the event of fire. It is used to protect electrical cables against fire and can also be used to produce coated mineral boards suitable for providing through-penetration protection. The halogen-free water-based coating forms a strong, flexible white layer when dry.
